Monica is putting her foot back in the game after a 3 year hiatus. I'm feeling the look.
Monica, Everytime the Beat Drop, ft Dem Franchise Boys
I'm still wait for her to "give it" to us like she claims in the lyrics. But its cute.
It's Official:Men are Lazy
All I can say is it is a sad day for the male species.
ROCK FALLS, Ill. -- Alan Beggerow has stopped looking for work. Laid off as a steelworker at 48, he taught math for a while at a community college. But when that ended, he could not find a job that, in his view, was neither demeaning nor underpaid. So instead of heading to work, Mr. Beggerow, now 53, fills his days with diversions: playing the piano, reading histories and biographies, writing unpublished Western potboilers in the Louis L'Amour style -- all activities once relegated to spare time. He often stays up late and sleeps until 11 a.m. "I have come to realize that my free time is worth a lot to me," he said. To make ends meet, he has tapped the equity in his home through a $30,000 second mortgage, and he is drawing down the family’s savings, at the rate of $7,500 a year. About $60,000 is left. His wife's income helps them scrape by. "If things really get tight,," Mr. Beggerow said, "I might have to take a low-wage job, but I don't want to do that."
Millions of men like Mr. Beggerow -- men in the prime of their lives, between 30 and 55 -- have dropped out of regular work. They are turning down jobs they think beneath them or are unable to find work for which they are qualified, even as an expanding economy offers opportunities to work.
One more day left till I'm slippin on something juicey and intoxicating while lounging on the white sands of Puerta Plata. Thank goodness Chris has been down grated, it was looking like another fallen dream for Joi "Bad News" Brown. Keep me and my best friend in your prays as we make this trip alone.

Hip Hip Horray! Letoya Lucketts debuted at #1 on Billboard and Soundscan beating out insider favorite, Pharell Williams and bumping Now 22 from first place--a spot it held for 2 weeks.
Pharrell or LeToya? Which artist could dethrone Now That's What I Call Music! 22, ending the compilation's two-week reign atop Billboard's albums chart? In My Mind, the long-awaited, much-delayed solo debut from Pharrell Williams — one-half of the hit-making production team the Neptunes — was a popular pick for #1. And with nearly 142,000 copies snatched up its first week in stores, the disc came close to the top. But in the end, Pharrell had to settle for third place. LeToya, the debut solo LP from LeToya Luckett, an original member of Destiny's Child who co-wrote and performed the group's gold-certified singles "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Say My Name," outsold Now by 14,000 copies to finish the week with close to 165,000 scans — and a chart-topping opening. According to the latest SoundScan totals, Pharrell fell shy of second place by a mere 9,000 copies. The #2 position belongs to the 22nd installment in the Now franchise — an album featuring tracks by Rihanna, Chamillionaire, Chris Brown, Nick Lachey and Kelly Clarkson — which moved 151,000 units its third week out. LeToya and Pharrell's debut outings are joined in the top five by one other new release: Tom Petty's Highway Companion. The third solo album from the Heartbreakers frontman bows at #4 after selling more than 112,000 copies its first week in stores. Petty's disc steps in just in front of Gnarls Barkley's St. Elsewhere, down one to #5 with 54,000 scans. The soundtrack to the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical" can't be stopped, and takes the chart's #6 opening this week with just under 47,000 sales. Rihanna's A Girl Like Me follows at #7 with 46,000-plus scans, while Nelly Furtado's Loose slips one spot to #8 with close to 45,000 sales. The Pussycat Dolls' PCD climbs one spot to #9, selling more than 44,000 units. Rascal Flatts' Me & My Gang rounds out the top 10 with nearly 44,000 scans.
The Howard Insider Update
Last year, Joi's Ramblings was periodically hijacked by another J. Jon that is. My older brother Jon (a Morgan Graduate) joined the Howard Insider family in an effort of bring the site a mature, yet quite hilarious prospective on pop culture. Luckily he explained to us what a Flashie is and showed us exactally how out of touch with reality a Lil' Kim fanatic can be. He took a hiatus, started his own blog, got married, suddenly became a father. Well, I guess he's been inspired by the launch of the daily dose and has recently updated his official Howard Insider Blog, Heavily Edited. Stop over and see what Jon has to say about:

You Can't be Serious, part II
I am a fan of Cassie, but it seems the more I learn about her the less I respect her as an artist. I really like the tracks I heard of her's, but I'm not sure how much longer I can over look her lack of actual talent.
First, she comes to Philly radio and basically puts her head under the console when the the Disc Jockies ask her to sing live! Then she goes on TRL and well, the fact that it's called Total Request Live must not apply to performances...
Grade: D-, Cute outfit though. Loved the hair.
Anyways, what prompted this lastest rank was a recent marketing decision by the Queen of Myspace and her Next Selection leader, Ryan Leslie to launch a Lip Syncing Contest to help promote her second single, Long Way Too Go.
Is it me or is Cassie a shoe in for the grand prize? and where did they shoot this? The Next Selection office supply closet?

Just cause you know I love to hate Jay-Z, here is a recent picture of YOUR (I'm not claiming him) Hov awkwardly holding Be-yawn-ce's nephew.

caption: "They better come get this kid before he pee's on me"
The Redose: Awww, I guess and Good Googley Moogley!
Well, Trick Loves the kids so much he took pictures:
yes, that's Mr. 305, Pitbull luvin the kids too! see "Aww, I guess"
And thank de Lawd, Project Pat didn't come up with that Good Googly Moogly mess himself: Project Pat said not too long ago, he sat down with his poppa to discuss the inspiration for his song "Good Googly Moogly." Come to find out, the phrase came from "Sanford and Son."
"Me and my daddy was talking about the song, and I said, 'Where do you think I got that from?' " Pat's pop reminded him it was a catchphrase for Fred Sanford's best friend, Grady. "I said, 'Oh, yeah.' ['Good Googly Moogly,'] that's something I would say to a girl walking by. That came out of my head. But I was wondering where I got that [phrase] from. I remember people saying it. I don't remember Grady. But yeah, Grady helped me out on that."For the record, Pat says Beyoncé, Serena Williams and MTV's La La are some celebrities that make him say "good googly moogly."Pat's upcoming Crook by the Book: The Fed Story is due in October, and besides "Good Googly," he's already released a track called "Tell, Tell, Tell" with Young Jeezy."It's fire for real," Pat said of his album. "I got one song called 'Two Dollar N---a.' A two-dollar n---a is a type of dude that before he got locked up, he wasn't no big thug in the 'hood. But he goes to jail and gets out, now he's super crook. The young guys looking up to him, they didn't check his background. When he was in jail, he was wearing a dress. Them two-dollar n---as will get you caught up to where you lose your life or end up in jail."[source]
Yesterday was a killer. I have a lot to do (professionally and personally) this week in preparation for my trip so I got caught up doing what it is I am paid to do. Sorry for missing your meds.
Miss Joi.
